Anaïs Reno CD Release with The Emmet Cohen Trio

At age 17, Anaïs Reno has many accolades under her belt, such as the Forte International Competition Platinum award, The Inspiration Award in Michael Feinstein’s competition, first place in the Mabel Mercer Competition and most recently the Julie Wilson award.
Anaïs released her first album, “Lovesome Thing” recorded at age 16, with The Emmet Cohen trio, which was in the top 10 on the jazz charts for 4 weeks, peaking at no 6. Receiving rave reviews such as “A remarkable introduction to a singular talent- it’s impossible not to be moved by Reno’s musicality and approach to the music, by Peter Quinn from Jazzwise”, “A once in a lifetime voice” by Broadway World’s Stephen Mosher, and “You’ll know you’re in the presence of young vocal genius when you hear her sing “Lush life”, by Dick Metcalf of Contempory Fusion reviews, Anaïs is celebrating the release of her album “Lovesome Thing” Anaïs Reno sings Ellington and Strayhorn at Birdland.
Since age 13, Anaïs has performed several solo shows to sold out audiences at prestigious venues such as Feinstein’s 54 Below, Birdland, at Jazz on the Narrows jazz festival and the Cutting Room. Additional performances include Carnegie Hall and the Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center and NJPAC.
Having regularly worked with prominent musicians such as Billy Stritch and Tedd Firth, Anaïs was recently featured on the New York State of Mind video with Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel and Stephen Colbert, and appeared on Good Day NY, Inside Edition and Broadway Profiles.
Anaïs is attending Purchase College in jazz voice, this fall.
