Joe Lovano, John Patitucci, and Brian Blade take the stage at Birdland for June 1-3 with two sets a night!

John Patitucci will continue to be the Musical Director of the Peperoncino Jazz Festival New York session for 3 nights at Birdland, where he will head the “Remembrance Trio,” a tribute to this groups’ acclaimed recording. John has been one of the most important bass players in the world for over 30 years. He won four GRAMMY awards, played on hundreds of recordings and has worked with stars in many genres of music, such as Dizzy Gillespie, when shorter, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stan Getz, Wynton Marsalis, Michael, Brecker, Natalie Cole, Paul Simon, and many others. The one and only maestro, Joe Lovano, formidable saxophonist and well-known composer, has been at the forefront of jazz tenor saxophone, playing for many decades and working with musicians such as John Scofield, Paul Motian, Bill Frisell, Dave Holland and many others. The amazing Brian Blade, without a doubt, one of the most requested and influential drummers on the international scene, has performed and recorded with Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Daniel Lanois, and countless others.
